About Sharanya (Anya) Sudhakar, M.Sc.
is a Psychological Associate (Supervised Practice)
Sharanya (Anya) Sudhakar, M.Sc. is a Psychological Associate (Supervised Practice) who specializes in psychological assessment and therapy with children and adolescents. She holds a Master’s degree in Child Psychology and brings experience across both clinical and educational settings, including teaching psychology to adolescents and supporting young people with a broad range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental concerns.
Anya provides psychological assessment, diagnostic clarification, and intervention using evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She is particularly passionate about helping children and adolescents better understand their strengths and challenges through developmentally appropriate assessment, feedback, and collaborative goal-setting — including young athletes and high-achieving students navigating the unique pressures that come with performance at a high level.
She has played a key role in developing social-emotional learning (SEL) frameworks for public schools and has authored papers focused on SEL and adolescent development. This work directly informs her clinical practice, where she integrates ACT- and CBT-informed strategies with art-based and creative approaches to engage young people in meaningful and accessible ways. Her methods are deliberately youth-friendly, supporting emotional awareness, values exploration, identity development, and psychological flexibility.
Anya places a strong emphasis on collaboration with families, schools, and interdisciplinary teams, and brings creativity and warmth to every therapeutic relationship she builds with children and adolescents.
